HORDLE WOMENS INSTITUTE
Meet
on the first Tuesday in the month at the WI Hall in Ashley Lane Hordle at 2.15pm.
We have a good range of speakers , demonstrations and a competition at our
meetings.
A Craft Section
meets weekly and we are hoping to restart our drama and choir group.
We also have
Spring and Christmas Fairs.
Many members
enter the WI section of The New Forest Show. Pub Lunches and Outings are also
regularly arranged.

HORDLE FLOWER CLUB
The object of the Flower Club is to encourage the art and enjoyment
of all aspects of Flower Arranging.
Meetings are held
on the second Wednesday of the month at The Pavilion Vaggs Lane Hordle at
7.30 pm
unless otherwise stated.
We have Practice
Evenings, Demonstrations, Workshops and Exhibitions.
In addition we
hold Coffee Mornings, Garden/Nursery Visits and Barbeques.
We invite
you to join and support some of the Club’s various activities.

Hordle Gardening Club
Meets at 7.30pm at the Hordle W.I.Hall on the 4th Friday
of every Month except August & December
The Club year starts with the Annual General Meeting in
January when reports on the previous year’s Activities are given
and Officers & committee elected.
We have Speakers on various subjects at the February,
March, April, May, June, September and October Meetings.

An evening visit to a Local Garden or Nursery and an
all-day Outings to places of interest
takes place in the Summer.
In July the Members only Show takes place with the Cup and
Shield for best Vegetable Exhibit and best Floral Exhibit respectively
being competed for.
In early August a B.B.Q. is held at the Pavilion, Vaggs
Lane, starting at 6.00pm
On the 4th Saturday of November we finish the year in with
our Annual Quiz, Buffet and Entertainment at the WI Hall.
Walks in the Forest followed by a Pub Lunch are held on
three Sundays during the Summer for the more energetic Members.
Membership at present is only £6.00 per year renewed in
January each Year.

Do you require
transport to attend a medical appointment or need medical items collected?
If so then Hordle Voluntary Care Group would like to help you. We have a
team of drivers that will pick you up from home, take you to your
appointment and return you to your home afterwards. All you need to do is
call our Coordinator, Margaret, on 0845 388 9063. Please leave a message if
she is not available to answer the phone and she will get back to you.
Please give as much notice as
possible as this is more likely to enable us to find a driver for you.
We also provide transport to
the ‘bathing service’ at the St John’s Ambulance HQ on the Gordleton
Industrial Estate. Again please contact Margaret for more information.
We are still looking at
increasing our pool of drivers and would like to hear from anyone who thinks
they may be able to assist. If you can spare a couple of hours a week, at a
time and day to suit you, then please get in touch by telephoning our

Hordle Twinning Association, Community Care, W.I., Cricket,

Meetings are convened through an
Executive Committee organising events including a Festival Week
which is held in the last week of August.
Our main objective is to build an all purpose community hall for the village.

Activities
The Memorial Hall has
excellent facilities: on the ground floor, with easy access, we have the

and large gatherings; on the upper floor we have a smaller, more intimate,
room, again with attached kitchen, suitable for smaller gatherings,
meetings, baptism parties, committees, and courses. The entire building can
be booked for weddings receptions by prior arrangement. Please contact the
Church Office, Monday to Friday, 9.30 to 12.00 for enquiries and Hall
bookings, 01425-626565.
For other activities
of interest to the Village there are the following;-
Tuesdays am & pm:- Little Angels: 6 months to 5 years, am 10.00 – 12.00

before hand. Weekly meetings, during term time, with Craft, bible moment,
and lots of Fun.
1st Thursday at 12 noon, All Saints Luncheon Club, in the Church Hall
The Luncheon Club
provides a hot lunch for Senior Citizens. Come along to enjoy company, chat,
and fellowship - especially those who are more housebound or live alone.
Transport can be provided for those who need it. Due to the popularity of
this activity, attendance is by membership only. If you are interested in
