HORDLE PARISH COUNCIL have joined forces with the Woodland Trust to plant trees
            • A community tree planting event
            • Hordle War Memorial site, Everton Road, Hordle
            • Saturday 13th November 2010 10am - 12 noon

Hordle Parish Council is pleased to have been successful in its bid to be one of the first in the country to receive 420 free trees from the Woodland Trust as part of its "More Trees, More Good" campaign. Over the next 50 years, millions of native trees are to be planted across the UK, producing a range of benefits that we can all enjoy.
Chairman, Cllr Peter Smith says "This is a fantastic way to improve our landscape. Not only will it create an attractive green space for local people, it will provide shelter, food and homes for wildlife. We'd like local people, individuals and families to come along and help us plant for the future"
If you would like to plant a tree with Hordle Parish Council, come prepared. A coat, warm clothes and a pair of boots or wellies are recommended.
