August has been our relaxation /holiday month but members have met up for two enjoyable events. Must mention first our trip 26 July to Athelhampton..a very interesting historical house where we  had a brief talk about the house and past occupants, a pleasant amble round the gardens with wonderful topiary and ended up at Haskins for afternoon cuppa. 
 

On 15 August our members were treated to  a barbecue at Hordle where the weather kept fine with good food and good company..our finale for August was a skittles evening at The Walkford where we had a fun time ending with the game last man standing..supper was a good standard and the overall lady champ was Mo Edwards and Reg Wareham turned out to be man of the evening winning top scorer for the men and also winning last man standing.

Our next meeting will be 23 September where our speaker will be Rosemary Legrand on North Island New Zealand. At this meeting tickets for our Christmas Quiz and supper night 26 November will be available .. makes it sound like the year has flown but look forward to seeing all our members in September.
